One theme I keep returning to is how key government policy is generally made by the powerful, for the powerful. Kyoto, for example, or the Bush administration waging disinformation on the health impact of CO2 emissions.

Now, here’s another example: one of the top polluters in the nation is also a contributor of millions to the Republican party and George Bush’s election campaigns. Their lobby influence is also well documented, and the company opposes any legal caps on CO2 emissions.

Like Grandmaster Flash said–it’s all about money, ain’t a damn thing funny.
